Emily Dyer

Emily Dyer joined Mitchell Eisen as a new partner following Bernard Cugelman’s retirement at the end of 2024. Emily represents clients accused of all manner of charges, including everything from theft to aggravated assault. Emily is focused on advocating for and obtaining the best possible results for her clients, while keeping them informed and involved throughout the court process. Emily accepts Legal Aid cases and will guide you through the complicated process of facing a criminal charge in a clear and respectful manner.

Emily articled with Cugelman and Eisen and then joined the firm as an associate lawyer in 2020. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where she also completed a certificate in Aboriginal Legal Studies. Emily is the Simcoe County/Muskoka director with the Criminal Lawyers Association, a member of the Simcoe County Library committee, and an active participant in other professional organizations and committees.

Outside of legal practice, Emily can be found enjoying outdoor activities in the Simcoe County Community, and singing with various local choirs.
